In addition, there’s been a recent armed robbery in the area, underscoring the need for vigilance and community involvement in maintaining safety.

Asheville Police Ask for Your Help to Catch Suspects in Local Break-Ins

In the beautiful city of Asheville, police are on the hunt for two individuals wanted in connection with several break-ins that occurred in the wake of Hurricane Helene’s damage. The Asheville Police Department (APD) is reaching out to the community, encouraging anyone with information about these suspects to step forward.

Meet the Suspects

The suspects have been identified as Kyle Allen Mills, a 34-year-old white male, and Aurora Marianna Taylor, a 23-year-old white female. Kyle stands at 5 feet 9 inches tall, weighing approximately 205 pounds. He has brown hair, hazel eyes, and a beard that gives him a rugged look. Aurora, on the other hand, is petite, at 5 feet 2 inches and weighs around 168 pounds. She sports several tattoos including a lovely flower on her left ear and three playful turtles on her shoulder. Both of them are currently wanted by law enforcement and your help could be pivotal in bringing them to justice.

How You Can Help

The APD is urging residents to keep an eye out for these suspects. If you have any information about their whereabouts, don’t hesitate to call the Asheville Police at (828) 252-1110. For those who may want to remain anonymous, there are options as well! You can send in your tips via the TIP2APD smartphone application or simply text TIP2APD to 847411. Every piece of information counts, no matter how small!

In a Related Incident: An Armed Robbery

But that’s not all. The Asheville area is facing more than just these break-ins. There was a recent armed robbery at a convenience store on Swannanoa River Road. The incident took place around 12:04 a.m. on a Tuesday when a female suspect entered the store armed with a handgun. She demanded cash and even the clerk’s phone while trying to disguise herself in all-black attire, complete with a mask and sunglasses.

After the robbery, the suspect drove off in a white SUV, heading east on Swannanoa River Road. The police are also actively seeking any possible leads related to this robbery. If you know something or have seen anything unusual around that time, please call the APD at (828) 252-1110. Your awareness could help keep your community safe.

Breaking News: Home Intruder Arrested

In another hair-raising event, a man named Ryan Douglas Ross, 49, faced the law after trying to break into a home on Glen Falls Road early Friday morning. Responding to a distress call about a breaking and entering situation, the police arrived just in time to catch Ross trying to slip out of the residence. Thankfully, the residents inside were unharmed during the ordeal.

Ryan Douglas Ross was promptly arrested and charged. Due to the Pretrial Integrity Act, he remains in custody at the Buncombe County Detention Facility with no bond set. This incident serves as a reminder of the importance of neighborhood security, especially in light of recent events.

Final Thoughts: Community Vigilance is Key

Your safety and the safety of your neighbors are paramount. The Asheville Police Department is dedicated to resolving these ongoing issues, but they can’t do it alone. Together, as a community, everyone can play a vital role in keeping Asheville a safe and secure place to live.

Keep your eyes peeled, and don’t hesitate to report any suspicious activity. Stay safe and look out for one another!
