In his prior role as Director of Regional Support Services for the NCDPI’s Western Region, he supported 18 local school districts. He was instrumental in designing school improvement plans and served as a primary liaison for superintendents. Additionally, Dr. Gibbs is an adjunct instructor at Western Carolina University, where he teaches doctoral and master’s courses in educational leadership, human resources, and school finance.
