From April 25-26, 2025, athletes from the university dazzled spectators as they not only set new school records but also recorded an impressive number of personal bests.

Shattering School Records

The energy in the air was electric as the day unfolded at the meet. Among the highlights, DaMarr Harvey shone brighter than anyone, sprinting to a silver medal in the men’s 100m final with a jaw-dropping time of 10.32 seconds. This remarkable feat not only snatched the school record but also placed him at Nos. 44 in Division I rankings! Harvey’s talents didn’t stop there; he also secured silver in the men’s 200m final with an impressive time of 21.28 seconds.

But it didn’t end with Harvey. The men’s 4x100m relay team, made up of Harvey, Joseph Oliver, Shemarr Session, and Nkosi Jeju, blazed their way to a new school record, clocking in at 39.97 seconds while securing the No. 57 rank in Division I! Talk about a team truly thriving together!

Personal Bests Galore

33 personal bests were achieved by team members, showcasing the hard work and dedication put in throughout the season. In the men’s 400m, Joseph Oliver shone again, running a fantastic 48.26 seconds which placed him fourth on the school’s all-time list. Meanwhile, Shemarr Session proved why he’s a force to be reckoned with by registering a personal best of 14.65 seconds in the 110m hurdles, ranking him third in program history!

Nkosi Jeju sprinted his way to a fourth-place finish in the men’s 100m final, with a personal best time of 10.64 seconds, landing him at No. 3 on Asheville’s all-time list. The competitiveness didn’t stop there; even teammates Ethan Acosta and Blake Hawks finished with personal bests in the 100m.

Distance Stars Shine Bright

Quinn Jacquez took the spotlight in the men’s 5,000m, clinching victory with a time of 15:04.79. Teammate Nate Sullivan matched his spirit by placing third with a season-best time of 15:23.17. Such performances truly showcased what dedicated training can lead to!

Record-Breaking and Season-Best Performances

Francesca Cergol finishing fifth in the 400m with a personal record of 57.15 seconds, earning her a spot at No. 3 on the All-Time list, while Isabel Richardson secured third place in the women’s 1,500m with a season-best time of 4:36.63.

Adam Graham, Noah Henthorn, Madison Hannah, and Neely Rogan, who all collected personal bests across various events. Even Chaniya Owens made a splash in the women’s long jump with a personal record of 5.11 meters!

Looking Ahead
