Asheville is all set to sparkle and shine this holiday season with its 11th Annual Winter Lights show at The North Carolina Arboretum! Kicking off on Friday, Nov. 15, the magical display will dazzle guests every night through Dec. 31. This year’s enchanting theme, “Seasons of Light,” promises to capture the beauty of nature with over one million lights illuminating the grounds!
The dazzling display celebrates each season in a unique way. From blooming flowers in “Spring Sprouts” to the rich colors of “Fall Fungi”, there’s something to marvel at for everyone. Kids and adults alike will fall in love with the massive butterflies flitting through the night and the giant caterpillar making a grand appearance!
New this year is the “Enchanted Oasis.” This interactive light installation responds to a simple touch and motion, creating a fun environment for visitors to bask in. But that’s not all! An eye-catching ice castle will also be part of the magic, providing perfect photo opportunities and a whimsical experience.
Getting your tickets to Winter Lights is easy, and they are available online at ncwinterlights.com. Tickets are sold per vehicle with a tiered pricing system that fluctuates based on the date you choose. Heading in on off-peak dates can get you lower prices, so it’s a smart idea to plan ahead. And a friendly reminder: members of the North Carolina Arboretum Society get a nifty $5 discount on advance tickets!
The event also includes the “Share the Wonder” campaign, allowing guests to donate tickets for families in need through local nonprofits—what a wonderful way to spread joy in the community! Keep in mind that Winter Lights runs rain or shine, and while tickets are non-refundable, service animals are always welcome.
